Philosophizing Disgrace

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” George Orwell, 1984

“I hear that train a’ comin’, it’s rolling round the bend…” Johnny Cash

I read something this morning that stopped me in my tracks. It said, “If people were told to get into boxcars to be taken to ‘virus protection camps’, many of them would rush to get in line.” I’m sure that some of you reading this are thinking, “There’s no way that could happen in America.”

Maybe. But, follow the progression:

  • ”Just wear the mask.”
  • “Just let the government track you.”
  • “Just let them inject you.”
  • “Just give up your guns.”
  • “Just get in the boxcar.”

And like mindless lemmings, many of your fellow citizens are already headed for that train. It’s a disgrace! But disgrace seems to be de rigueur these days.

It’s disgraceful to set buildings on fire and destroy public property.

It’s disgraceful to ban classic books because they lack proper PC credibility or contain feigned or imagined racial content.

It’s disgraceful to ban objects of art because they depict uncomfortable images.

It’s disgraceful to “cancel” celebrities who don’t parrot the approved hive-mind generated narrative.

It’s disgraceful to tear down historical monuments.

It’s disgraceful to loot.

It’s disgraceful to inform on your neighbors.

It’s disgraceful to burn the flag of the nation whose citizens have bled and died to provide you with freedom of expression.

It’s disgraceful to shout down and violently attack those whose voices are raised in dissent against you.

And yet…it’s happening.

Bob Dylan said it best: “And you, who philosophize disgrace, and criticize all fears…” That’s what we do, isn’t it? When disgraceful things happen, the “woke” generation develops a self-righteous philosophy of justification while at the same time shaming and criticizing the fears and concerns of those in opposition.

Six million Jews were disgracefully, shamefully and horribly murdered by Nazi Germany. “Just get in the boxcar,” they were told. “It will take you to a resettlement labor camp in the East.” The Jews boarded obediently and were taken, instead, to extermination camps. And to justify the horror, German citizens were told, “It’s for your safety.”

Don’t believe it, people. Because, like the quote above, “I hear that train a’comin’.” And it ain’t the “peace train,” it’s a death train…the death of freedom. RG…out!
